30 Days of Yoga E-Course + A GIVEAWAY

by Amanda on October 5, 2012

I can’t even begin to tell you how thrilled I am to share today’s post! I just adore Marianne Elliott and believe wholeheartedly that her yoga programs are phenomenal. And today, I get to share an incredible opportunity with you all.

I had the absolute honor of meeting Marianne earlier this summer & learned so much in just a few hours of yoga with her. For me, it’s easy {enough} to practice yoga in my daily life-I’ve got a great studio nearby, a regular 9-5 office job, and about as much stability in my life as an “average” American can have.

But can you imagine living in Afghanistan, with war raging around you, and nothing for refuge and solace except a yoga mat?  In Zen Under Fire (U.S. publication coming this spring), Marianne shares her incredible story of being a human rights lawyer from New Zealand, stationed in the world’s most dangerous war zone. It was such a privilege for me to hear her tell her story firsthand &  get a signed copy of her book.

Beyond gifting the world with her story in Zen Under Fire, Marianne has also placed herself on the leading edge of online yoga programs. She has given great numbers of people access to yoga by bringing it online for the benefit of those who practice yoga at home.  She offers several 30 Days of Yoga E-courses that have received rave reviews over the past year.

Part of my passion for yoga stems from an appreciation of the fact that anybody, anywhere, in any shape, and at any time can do yoga. Marianne offers a beginners course, a regular yoga course, a curvy yoga course, and one for people “too busy for yoga.”  Although you can start one of these courses anytime, I highly recommend joining with a group of others and enjoying the benefits of a supportive, encouraging community.

Here’s what Marianne has to share about the 30 Days of Yoga E-courses:

There are so many benefits to signing up for Marianne’s 3o Days of Yoga E-courses, and my favorite has to be that you are asked, simply, to commit to yoga every day.  I adore Marianne’s approach to yoga, as fun & silly, and as a method of listening to yourself and hearing the whispers of your body.  Don’t miss the chance to take this incredible journey with others as you open your heart to all the wonder & joy of yoga.  Classes start October 15th!

Marianne has donated a spot in one of her upcoming 3o Days of Yoga E-courses to a lucky Grow Soul Beautiful reader (any of the 4 versions)!  Simply connect with us in one of the many ways listed on the Rafflecopter giveaway & you can win.

* NOTICE: Please be honest! We verify every entry and if we cannot confirm that you did one of these tasks, you will NOT win this giveaway and will be disqualified.

My home practice is inconsistent. If I’m lucky, I’ll practice twice a week at home, but more often it is only once.

I don’t have a regular home practice, but I’m looking for a great way to get into it. The first timer one would be for me. :)

I’d love to win this, I found Marianne through Twitter a few years back and love her!

This sounds wonderful. I do yoga off & on, but would benefit greatly from a more consistent practice

I don’t currently have a home yoga practice as I have regular access to a studio, but that needs to change since my employment has changed in the past month – for the better!

I have difficulty practicing yoga in my home — but the only method I’ve tried is with DVDs. Having access online to the instructor would be AMAZING and I’d love to develop a home practice I can be happy with.

I wish I could say I was better about yoga at home, and I think I’d need a course like this to be really committed. You can also check out Yogaglo.com and GaiamTV.com for options that have hundreds of streaming Yoga/meditation classes. Good luck & have a fabulous week!

I practice at least my breath everyday, and yoga every week. This looks interesting!

I always tell people to the very least they can do is meditate/breath for a few minutes a day- it makes such a big difference! Most people don’t realize how important (critical!) breath is to yoga- without it, the poses are just exercises. Good luck & thanks for stopping by Grow Soul Beautiful!

I have been battling health issues for years now and recently I have had to stop going to yoga due to my health. I am so out of shape and miss yoga so much. It will be awhile until I am out of the house so having online access to an instructor is a dream come true!!! Thank you for this opportunity!

This is a great opportunity. It always fills me with joy when someone works to make yoga accessible to anyone willing to give it a go! Namaste. :-)

This is awesome! I always wanted to do yoga and tried it a couple of times alone in my room but it seems that I don’t have much discipline… lol. I think this e-course will be perfect to push me in the right direction. Thanks for the opportunity! :)

I love the accountability that e-courses and workshops give me- it’s so nice to know there is a special lesson/assignment each day/week & that I have to keep up with it. You are welcome & good luck!

I so super want this. Would love to get into a yoga practice regularly once I’m done with the Avon 2 Day Walk in 2 weeks. Perfect timing!

I love doing yoga at home so much more than going to a studio. I have such an odd schedule, it is hard to get to a class on time. I have a dvd that has 4 one hour programs, and I have a dvd that has programs that are 20 minutes to one hour. I have a variety of programs to choose from depending on my schedule each day. I have been very inconsistent lately with my home practice, but I am working on that. I am ready to get myself back on track with my yoga, it truly makes me happy! Take care, Terra

I am new to yoga but wish to learn more. When I am able to do a home lesson the feeling of peace I have is amazing But getting into a regular practice has been tough. Relying on iphone apps to get me through and wondering if I am do the move right is a bit frustrating. This would be a great opportunity!!
