21 Day Meditation Challenge from Deepak Chopra

by Amanda on October 25, 2012

I’m excited to share a fantastic opportunity that’s coming up in a few weeks!  Deepak Chopra is offering a FREE 21 day Meditation Challenge starting November 5th on “Creating Abundance” as you head right into the Thanksgiving holidays.

If you’ve ever thought about trying meditation, but have been reluctant, this is the PERFECT OPPORTUNITY!  I did his last free round of meditations in July & really liked the format.  Knowing that I received a new one each day & that I had committed myself to finding time to listen to each of them was really motivational.  I didn’t want to get behind & miss anything (although you do have a few days to catch up, they are only available online for a limited time.

The really nice thing about this free meditation series is that you can easily sign up through Facebook, they send you a reminder email each morning, and each meditation is only about 15 minutes long.  The first part of the meditation starts out guided as Deepak (or another person) give you some areas thoughts to ponder as they lead you deeper into stillness, and then the second half is usually filled with light sounds and gentle music in the background.

There are so, so many reason that meditation is deeply important to your physical, emotional, spiritual, and mental well-being.  It would take me a week’s worth of posts to touch on all the benefits and positive side effects that a regular meditation can have.

I’ll give you the short version of why I believe meditation is so powerful.

In our over-stimulated and out-of-control busy world, it’s vitally important to check out of the world  and routinely check-in with ourselves.  We need to be attentive to our thoughts, aware of the silly chatter and serious self-doubt that can wash through our minds.  Meditating even just a few minutes a day is a powerful tool to re-fresh our frenetic minds and nurture our delicate souls.

One of the simplest and yet life altering ways to practice self-care and self-love is to honor ourselves through quite reflection.
